ABOUT ARTIST
Born in 1979 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Garcia Villa graduated from the National School of Fine Arts Rogelio Yrurita specialising in Drawing. She later graduated from the National University Institute of Art with a Master’s in Set Design.
Garcia Villa became interested in portraits after being diagnosed with prosopagnosia, a rare disorder sometimes referred to as face blindness. Those affected by the condition are unable to connect the face they see with the person they know.
