  • ABOUT ARTIST

    A British artist living in Dubai, Ness begins her artistic process by photographing that which inspires her in the bright, colourful city. Flowers, feathers, an iron gate, the artist reveals in the small details what others may overlook, documenting the flavour of life around her. In her second stage of process, Ness carefully cuts a shape by hand, creating tiny individualities in each element.

     

    ABOUT ARTWORK

     In Camels the selected cut-outs are arranged in concentric circles and their raised mounting creates shadows in the piece that will change with the movement of the sun. In fact, the artist created this work with the desire that it be hung in a place with strong light, allowing the viewer to fully enjoy its sculptural aspect.
